BioLife Plasma Donation ‘Success Coach’

Improving donation outcomes with a virtual assistant.

SUMMARY

Plasma donors provide an essential service to society by supporting the manufacture of life-saving therapies, but donating for the first time can be daunting. The majority of first-time plasma donors feel significant pre-donation anxiety, causing some to not show up, and of those that do, 40% will not complete their donation. We set out to create and deploy a digital product that would improve donation outcomes.

LEADING THE FULL LIFE CYCLE OF A DIGITAL PRODUCT

In a few brief months, I led an interdisciplinary team through two phases of work: concepting a suite of three services that would support plasma donation and building/launching the first service with design and development partners. In the full course of launch, I led design, strategy and development.
